Meet Jacob, Canyon’s October Employee of the Month!

Since joining Canyon’s Denver branch in April 2023, Jacob has made a lasting impact as a Patient Care Navigator. He was drawn to Canyon for its exceptional patient care, opportunities to grow, and the chance to make a meaningful difference alongside his wife, Erin Custer.

Jacob credits the Denver team’s strong leadership and camaraderie for keeping him motivated. He especially values the lasting relationships he’s built within the community. His coworkers describe him as a generous teacher, a dedicated advocate for clinicians, and a compassionate resource for families navigating difficult moments.

Outside of work, Jacob recharges with his close-knit family and tends to an exotic collection of cacti and succulents. “Watching plants that grow very slowly helps me slow my mind and life down,” he shares.

Fun fact: Jacob holds a master’s degree in fine art and creates intricate prints using traditional copperplate and limestone techniques!
